DOH Media Productions proudly presents a unique opportunity for aspiring and passionate filmmakers to bring their dream short film to life through our Short Film Production Contest. If you’ve been dreaming of making a short film but are limited by budget or crew, this contest is designed just for you.

Whether you’re an emerging talent or an experienced storyteller, this contest offers full-fledged support—from budgeting to post-production and release. If you don’t have a crew, no worries—our production team will assemble one for you.

Once your short film is released, and if the content meets the quality standards for film festivals, we will handle the entire submission and marketing process to get your work the recognition it deserves.

Contest Categories

We offer two budget tiers to suit your project’s scale:

  • Category A – ₹1.5 Lakh Production Budget
     📌 Registration Fee: ₹700
  • Category B – ₹2.5 Lakh Production Budget
     📌 Registration Fee: ₹1200

Rules & Regulations

  1. Only one script submission is allowed per entry.
  2. A single individual can submit multiple entries, but must register separately for each.
  3. The short film must be in malayalam language.
  4. Shooting must take place entirely within the state of Kerala.
  5. Your short film story or synopsis can be submitted in any of the following formats: (PDF,Word Document,Image file,Audio file -narration of the story).
  6. Before filling out the submission form, you must remit the registration fee. A screenshot of the payment transaction must be uploaded as part of the submission form.
  7. A confirmation email will be sent within 24 hours of submission. Please respond promptly to complete profile verification.
  8. The shortlisted stories will be announced in the Results section of the Contest page on our official website.
  9. The final results, including selected winners, will also be published on the same page.
  10. The complete rights to publish the final short film will remain with DOH Media Productions, and the director must sign an agreement confirming the same.
  11. If the final film qualifies for film festivals, DOH Media Productions will handle the registration and promotion at no additional cost.
